Hurricane Ian made landfall in Southwest Florida in September 2022. SPE answered four utility calls and kept crews on property for 78 consecutive days — until the outages were resolved.

SPE was selected as one of two contractors to help rebuild Sanibel Island. Crews worked across parts of Florida and North Carolina and logged 33,467.5 incident-free hours.

Helene and Milton hit back to back in 2024. SPE supported 12 utility calls across the Southeast — the first call for three separate Florida utilities, and the first union contractor ever deployed on one utility’s system.

Crews mobilized from as far as Wisconsin and moved from Florida to the Carolinas and back inside two weeks. 1,258 resources. 185 deployment days. 57,647 incident-free hours. Zero incidents.
